out by default. Their design makes shooting from any bullpup rifle impossible due to the inability to grip the rifle, and the GROT is no exception here. Using high-capacity box magazines, such as Sure - fire 60-rounders, will also be impossible. The maga- zine on the GROT is located quite close to the grip; consequently, in a shooting stance where the elbow is tucked against the torso, the wrist of the hand holding the grip touches the magazine. While this isn't an issue with standard capacity magazines, with these quad-stack versions, it makes gripping the weapon impossible. Of course, one could try a „chicken wing" stance, but it won't be stable or com - fortable, so it's better to pass. As a consolation, 40-round double-stack maga- zines and all sorts of baseplate extensions do not affect the comfort of using the weapon and can be used freely. Barrels and Handguards It seems obvious—for a 10.5" barrel, we use the 10.5" handguard, and for a 16" barrel, the 16" one. That's generally true, but not entirely. Let's set aside the extreme case of putting a 16" barrel into a 10" handguard and focus on more realistic scenarios. The GROT in a bullpup configuration looks great with a 10.5" barrel and a 16" handguard, but on one condition: the use of a suppressor attached to the muzzle. Otherwise, I do not recommend shooting, as the muzzle gases may damage the handguard. If we opt for this configuration, we must remember that a suppressor with any form of QD mount can only be removed or attached by removing the handguard or pulling the barrel from the weapon. Additionally, some types of QD mounts might not fit inside the handguard—everything works perfectly with some B&T devices, but with QD mounts featuring an Magazine 7,62 mm x 39 Magazine Magpul 3. gen Magazine STANAG www.fragoutmag.com
