T
he factory demonstrator KC-390 Millennium arrived
in Poland from Dubai, where it had participated in the
Dubai Airshow. Warsaw served as the focal point of
the visit, with the program including presentations for the
military, industry representatives, and journalists. According
to the original plan, the aircraft was to visit three locations;
however, the schedule ultimately had to be revised.
On 1 December, the KC-390 Millennium was present at the
33rd Airlift Base, home to the Polish Air Force's only transport
aircraft squadron, which is currently undergoing a transition
from the C-130E to the C-130H Hercules. The aircraft was
scheduled to return to Warsaw later that day, but a weather
breakdown in the Greater Poland region in the afternoon
resulted in the aircraft being grounded. This had knock-
on effects on December 2nd, forcing Embraer to cancel a
planned morning demonstration flight for journalists and
industry representatives.
Ultimately, the Warsaw event featured the signing of five
letters of intent with the Polish defense industry, specifically
with PGZ S.A., WCBKT, WZL No. 1 S.A., WZL No. 2 S.A., and
WSK PZL-Kalisz.
Key elements of these agreements include the intention to
establish industrial cooperation that could lead to Polish
companies joining Embraer's global supply chain. In the case
of WCBKT, discussions involve the potential development of
ground support equipment certified for use with the KC-390
Millennium. Cooperation with WZL No. 1 S.A. may cover the
production of metal and composite components, while WZL
