The Caiman has achieved unprecedented success in international procure-
ment, reaching a milestone of over 250,000 units ordered by the end of 2025.
A framework agreement signed in December 2022 with NATO NSPA allows
Allied countries to directly purchase Caiman system helmets (with a projected
volume of 80,000 units).
Helmets are also being supplied to the Canadian Armed Forces under the DICE
program. In total, Canada has ordered over 15,000 Caiman helmets (known
there as the „Helmet High Cut Ground Troop") and 30,000 covers. This project
serves as a testbed for the broader SOCEM (Soldier Operational Clothing and
Equipment Modernization) program, which is intended to cover the entire Ca-
nadian Army. It is also worth noting that Galvion Caiman helmets have been
successfully used by operators of the Polish Special Forces unit GROM for many
years.
In October 2025, during the AUSA exhibition, Galvion introduced the Caiman
UL (Ultra-Light). Utilizing a new generation of UHMWPE, the UL variant redu-
ces weight by an additional 15% while maintaining IIIA protection levels. At
the beginning of 2026, this variant entered testing with elite special opera-
tions units worldwide, marking the next stage in the evolution of the Caiman
family.
