de) was located near Przybyszew, ap- proximately 20 km from Grójec in Central Poland. It was the night of April 30 to May 1, 1944. Today, this event is commemorated by a small monument with a memorial plaque and a cross, located on the access road to Fort Pacew – Military Training Center, a shooting range situated on the grounds of a former military radar base. It is at this very range that, over the coming days, shooting course will be held as part of CAMP WELLER 16, an shooting event organized by Targets Creators (TC)—a company whose activities and TCGEAR product line need no introduction. For me personally, every camp (and I have already completed four) is an ex- cellent opportunity to hone shooting skills, motor skills, planning, and team- work—critical elements for following the path of the Tactical Sport Shooter, or SportTac, defined by the TC instruc- tor cadre. The reasons the camp dates are always hard-coded into my calendar (read: non-negotiable events) are the ex- cellent methodical preparation of the TC instructors—former operators of GROM, Formoza, and JWK Polish SOF Units—the high level of planning and execution, and, I must admit, the an- choring of the camp scenario in histori- cal realities to cultivate the memory of the AK through self-improvement and to worthily commemorate its heroes. The CAMP WELLER 16 program was divided into four blocks: Riverine Ope- rations/Kayak Shooting, Personnel Recovery/CQB Shooting, ContactPo- int/Concealed Weapon Shooting, and PID/270 Degree Shooting. The program is "loaded"—as usual, the- re will be little wasted time—but that doesn't mean there won't be space to catch up with long-unseen buddies. Thoughts constantly drift to the next stages, but one must focus, as always, on the here and now. And just like in life, at the camp, you have to listen to "Matka" (Mother), the boss here. From the four cities where TC Tactical Shooting Teams are active, two te- ams are formed for the duration of the camp: North (Trójmiasto and War- saw), led by Kaczy (ex-GROM), and South (Poznań and Wrocław), led by Modi (ex-JWK). 2024 camp also ended with a shooting competition won by the Warsaw team, and the trophy was presented to the winning team by the president of one of the AK districts. This year, there isn't a word about a competition in the program—instead, a surprise is being prepared for Sun- day. I don't like surprises... And what do you mean—we won't be defending the title? I am snapped out of my brief re- verie by the sound of my name. Matka calls me to the center—for this edition, I will additionally be responsible for medical support. I briefly discuss the rules, reminding everyone that a tac- tical tourniquet still in its plastic wrap and inside a backpack is not ready for immediate use. From this moment on, my constant companion during all acti- vities will be a medical kit, carefully tho- ught out and prepared before leaving for the camp. EVENT
