I, as usual, leave such stations wanting more—at least several hours could be devoted to such training, but the idea of the camp is not to master all elements of a given subject. TC camps are rather an opportunity to get acquainted with new aspects of current and planned Targets Creators courses and training, so that one can consciously manage their SportTac shooter development path over the coming months. Day 2 – Execution of the Night Mis- sion: Personnel and Material Drop Recovery Still not knowing what awaits us on the third day, we meet for the evening briefing. Matka provides information on the task to be executed: planning and recovering a drop of personnel and ma- terials at a specified location. This is where our two days of intensive tactical and shooting preparation meet history. For a few hours, we will be given the chance to test ourselves in a situation similar to events from years ago. This is my favorite part of the camps—worthy commemoration also means building awareness of the hardship undertaken by many in the struggle for the indepen- dence of the Fatherland. By trying to taste this hardship, we do not come even a centimeter closer to the sacrifice they made, but we can better understand the price of freedom. Suffice it to say that both teams—North, led by Kaczy, Maku, and Handi, and So- uth, led by Modi and Robson—execu- ted the assigned tasks flawlessly, and everyone, healthily tired and soaked, returned safely with the recovered per- sonnel and cargo. The sight of a flotilla of kayaks, flowing silently and in the dim moonlight down the Pilica current to the landing site—was simply magical and priceless... EVENT
