back to the 1970s, it is still issued.
If you ever decide to run the laun-
cher on an M16A3/A4 or M4, you'll
need to pick up a quick-detach bar-
rel lock (which costs absurd money
- around $300), a special spacer
that mounts to the receiver clamp,
and a Picatinny-rail-mounted sight
like the one shown in the photos.
Naturally, you can keep going down
the rabbit hole and acquire advan-
ced grenade launcher sight options
like the AN/PSQ-18A, or play aro-
und with configuring the host rifle
itself. The options are endless, and
the satisfaction of finishing a spe-
cific build is immense.
The M203 shotgun is undeniably
expensive, coming in around 2500
EUR - for that price, you could buy
top-tier shotguns, including se-
mi-autos used by military forces.
But this is about something else
entirely - it's about the vibe, cha-
sing childhood dreams, historical
reenactment, the pride of owning a
rare, iconic piece of kit, and the fun
of configuring complete weapon
builds. It's definitely not a gun for
everyone, and few will pull the trig-
ger on buying one, but if you're a
hardcore M16 enthusiast and col-
lector, it is an absolute must-have
for you.
