Mujahedin …but sometimes you have to play taliban The group was created in September 2012. At that time, during organized by Jacek Opalski and Radosław Sawicki "Afghan Party" (meeting in afghan atmosphere, local tea, food, décor, clothes etc) as a effect of long conversations, decision has been made. At the meeting, Kamil who wasn't member of the group, was present. They were all joined by afghan culture and history. At the beginning the Group had no name and nothing really happened. The idea was to reconstruct afghan mujahidin from soviet invasion period 1979 – 1989. At the beginning of 2013 group decided to prepare first fully professional photo session. Maciej Stęp- niak pictures were taken in February and after that Maciek became regular group photographer. That was also first time when group officially call itself Hinduksh. When they come back logo and, further very popular face- book fanpage have been launched. Group expand with new members – Łukasz Stosio and Kacper Mastalerz, fellows as- sociated with reconstruction community for long time. Hindukush started to develop. In April 2013 visit in Islamic State of Afghanistan embassy and meeting with ambas- sador Sayedem Ghafanzarem Hussayni'm have been or- ganized. Throughout the conversation Hindukush Group received, among other things, sponsorship during the em- bassy events. Meanwhile, with assistance of Marcin Ogdowski (Z Afgni- astanu.pl blog and book author), contact with the group made Sławek Brudny (Ender publisher) with proposition of card play "Warcard: Afghanistan" preparation. Game scenario is located with present Afghanistan. Players may became soldiers of Polish Military Contingent in Afghani- stan or insurgents. Faces of the second one were given by the members of the group. The game premiere took place in June 2013. The next "field session" was held in may. This time scenog- raphy for the session was Jura Krakowsko – Częstochowska area and Zborów mountain. Session had two parts. Mem- bers played both mujahedin and civilians. At the end of may Group contacted with Commando Unit from Lubliniec. Due to the fact of new opportunities and in- teresting experiences, it was important episode. The group was invited as an OPFOR for Task Force certification exercise before one of Afghanistan deployments. Exercise "Scorpi- on XIV" was organized in July 2013 at the Wędrzyn Field Training Area. Task Force 50 was formed based on Com- mando (majority) and Formoza units. Together with SOF in exercise participated also troops from 17 Mechanized Brigade (Army) and 33 rd Transportation Air Base Special Operation Detachment (Air Force). Hindukush part was to play inhabitants and local terrorist network members. Ex- ercise time they spent in qualat (Afghan house surrounded by wall, prepared for exercise purpose by Commando Unit instructors). According to scenario one of the group mem- bers played villager and his pregnant wife was performed by private (woman) from 17 Mech Brig. The rest became insurgents and one was Pakistani courier. Members of Hin- duksh conducted simple, similar to Afghan family, live. All of this was only a cover for insurgent activity. Without any details we may only say that they act based on situations which ISAF SOF met in Afghanistan before. Operators task was to conduct Special Reconnaissance, Initial Target Con- firmation and Direct Action on the Objective (Night Time). Night Raid on the objective had crushing impression, es- pecially for those on "the other side of barrel". Operation was conducted quick and professional, not really quiet but definitely effectively. During the exercise 152 mm howitzer and F-16 provided Commando Operators joint fire support while Call For Fire and Close Air Support procedure training. Contribution in this exercise was enormous experience for Group members. Mujahedin is not a Talib…
