together with the rifles, another version of the accompanying
knife-BaYONEt was presented, in a complete departure from
the previously used 6h4 bayonet of the akM and Beryl series
of rifles. this is first and foremost a multi-function field knife,
which happens to fit the muzzle of a rifle, and not the other
way around. that's why it was fitted with a comfortable grip,
much in the Extrema ratio flavor. the blade is a 'combo'-style,
with a partially scalloped edge – though this is still open to re-
view. the weapon mounting system is a novel one, consisting
of a hook at the edge of the guard, which mates with a cut-
out in the muzzle device, and a lug incorporated into the tip of
the hilt, locking into a spring-loaded latch being a part of the
support ring on the barrel. to avoid conflict with an under-bar-
rel grenade-launcher, it was decided to move the bayonet to
a reversed position, i.e. on top of the barrel, the G3 style. the
new arrangement was already introduced into the bullpup, and
would make its way to the classical layout rifle as well – the
revised k presented still had the latch
under the barrel. a plastic scabbard was
designed for the bayonet, which
combines with the blade to form
wire-cutters, and attaches to a plastic
platform rog offering multiple
attachment options.
