7th to 10th march 2014 were busy days in Nuremberg in German Frankonia, where IWa
outdoorclassIcs 2014 trade show and ENForcE tac law enforcement conference. short
notice for our readers on the other side of Big Pon - IWa is Europeanshot shoW, just a little
bit smaller. the main focus of trade show are guns, guns and guns. mostly hunting and sport.
ENForcE tac is specialized exhibition and conference for military, law enforcement and gover-
nment officials. This year ENFORCE TAC took place on 5th to 6th March, just before the IWA.
sPlIttING IWa aNd ENForcE tac is forced by German law mostly - there is absolutely no
military and law enforcement weapon systems. there is no exhibitor showing smG's, assault
rifles, sniper rifles, grenade launcher, frag (out!) grenades, etc. But at IWA, semi automatic
rifles „looking like military but not military" ones or .50 cal „hunting rifles" are shown in every
variant and color.
The „Rule" mentioned above does not comply to gear, uniforms, helmet, body armour, etc. - all
the tactical stuff is exhibited in dedicated and separated exhibition hall but some of military
and law enforcement related companies have their booths in other halls. trade show is huge
but still crowded. the closing stats for IWa 2014 highlight 1343 exhibiting companies and
39244 visitors from around the globe.
