The STM556 By STEyR MANNLICHER combines the AR-15 design with the trusted AUG/Stur-
mgewehr-77 gas piston system. The Austrian company is one of the competing candidates
to supply the French armed forces with a new standard assault rifle.
IWI Multi Purpose Rifle System (MPRS) consists of the TAR-21 assault rifle, a 40 mm underslung
grenade launcher (UGL) and an optics with integrated fire control unit and laser range finder.
The MPRS is able to fire programmable 40 mm grenades (point detonation, time delayed detona-
tion, air burst). The programming is done in the chamber of the UGL.
