A radio station is supplied by a packet of batteries with a capacity of 6 Ah (for 10V voltage), attached by wire
and mounted on the side of the housing. It ensures continuous performance of the radio station even up to 50
hours – obviously an operating time is dependent on the mode and used peripherals. An internal battery is an
additional source of power which allows for
1.5 to 7 hours of to PERAD continuous operations, depending
on the mode. The package of internal batteries increases dimensions and mass of a device, but guarantees con-
tinuous operations even in the case of discharge or damage of the external battery packet.
In the case of a discharge, a user is informed about the low level of energy, but after a complete discharge a
radio station automatically switches to supply from an in-built battery. Thanks to it there are no discontinuity in
communications, and a user has time to exchange a battery pack – after inserting a charged pack, the
PERAD
automatically switches to power supply from it.
