Meeting veterans was always an important point in the SRH Rakkasans itinerary. Their stories, their experiences, their knowledge, appraisal and
reenact the life and combat even better, and work out small details that enliven the overall image. The effects can be seen at the Rakkasans displays
of 1 July 2007, or perhaps in their own iteration of several scenes from the 'Born on the 4th of July', shot at Podrzecze and making rounds on You
an invitation to the C Coy veterans annual meeting in Ardmore, OK, in May 2007. They arrived with some trepidation, but were very warmly welcomed
of their actions was met with ovation. Most of the photos are taken in black and white with an original period-correct camera – and as the vets acknowledged
from the real thing. And some made rounds around the Internet as originals!
