A GPS module with an antenna is built into the PERAD what gives the possibility to visualise a position of
individual users on the visualised map, e.g. on a display of a commander of the military sub-unit. The visualis-
ation may take place on the subsidiary display of the FONET system, an imaging device designed as the Tytan
(Titan) future warrior system system or using any smartphone or tablet connected to PERAD through the USB
port or Ethernet.
The
PERAD can work in several modes – a crucial is the one not demanding the PTT usage, in which a user
may talk as like by an ordinary mobile phone. In the second mode may be used the "inverted" PTT so the one
which by pressing it cuts the communication by the user. The third mode is based on using the "classical" PTT,
which demands pushing byutton in order to enable transmission. The latter one is called "special" and is based
on passing into a sleep mode all radio stations in the group (sub-unit) and their activating within 5 seconds
after enforcing a network collation (moving a switch or pressing the PTT in one of the radio stations). The are
provided wireless PTT switches to the PERAD – on fixed on the Picatinny rail and the second, smaller, clip-fixed,
e.g. for the equipment.
