Ops-Core FAST Maritime helmet comes with two external ARC acces-
sory mounting rails as standard. The "L-shaped" rails are made of
glass-reinforced nylon, and are secured to the helmet by the front and
rear chin strap mounting points, yet their shape is a bit different than
rails on standard helmet – they are incompatible due to the different
shape of shell caused by higher side cuts. ARC rails allow mounting a
truly unlimited (or limited only by real estate) amount of accessories,
including recording cameras, flashlights, IR illuminators, ballistic
goggles, O2 masks, additional ballistic side protectors, ballistic
Gunsight Mandible covering jaw or externally mounted ear-pro/
communication headsets like 3M/Peltor Comtac ARC or dedicated
Ops-Core RAC-1 (seen in the opening picture). On the back of the
helmet night vision devices counterweight might be placed – it has
pockets for five lead blocks or can accommodate up to five CR123 3V
spare batteries. The array of available add-ons in continuously gro-
wing and there are multiple adapters to existing equipment, enabling
to mount accessories which are not compatible with ARC rail standard.
