what iS inSide? The core of geigerrig backpack consist of patented pressure water tank. This reservoir is a specially modified, a sort of custom version of hydrapak product, called a Hydration Engine. At first sight reservoir has no specific features, but after closer examination one can notice that in contrast to "classic" tanks, this has two tubes – one at the bottom, one at the top. The latter leads from bottom cpc connector, with water safety valve after tube disconnection, to the tube were mouthpiece is attached., The second cpc connector is located at the back of the reservoir, but to this one attaches to a second tube with a pump. Using this device, air is blown into the sec- ond chamber of the reservoir tank. The reservoir has two-ply construction and consist of two joined chambers. The isolated drinking tube with Surge valve mouthpiece has rotating, absolutely watertight and easy to use "on- off " valve. Second tube, as mentioned above, ends with small, soft pump (little bit comparable to blood pressure meter) which allows for inflation of reservoir air chamber. At the top of the pump there is decompression valve. At the top of an elastic and durable, transparent thermoplastic polyure- thane (safe without BVA and PVC) reservoir, there is no classic screwed pouring hole. It is replaced by a plastic spline, sliding on "rail", creating an large opening. To fill in the reservoir you have to open it fill it in with an appropriate drink like a large plastic bag. This " throat " opening allows for easy cleaning, filling with ice, drying (it is possible to turn it inside out) and washing it in the dishwasher. Spline works as a closing device and also as a mounting hook inside the backpack.
