we share some similar thoughts about the knife as super, even we have not been using it as much as our tactical redneck. it's a huge piece of blade, quite heavy and truly robust tool. the set we have received weight hundred grams less than the knife with the leather sheath, but mass was dropped by the scabbard – not the knife. still, if you need some lightweight tool for your kit, this one is not an option for you. it serves great as utility knife in woods or as big "chief 's knife" in the kitchen. we don't recommend to use war"s knife to cut the watermelon – its weight crushed the fruit :) otherwise, you can cut, slice and smash almost everything with such knife, but for more precise works you will need something smaller. knife traveled with us a bit, it was even in panama, were humidity was over 90 per cent in some places making the knife little rusty even without taking it out of the backpack. thankfully, it could be easily removed with cloth wipe. in overall, it is pretty heavy combat and utility bowie-style custom piece of knife. not a jack-of-all-trades, but universal tool. also not a knife for everYone. survival equipment a knife creates a fully coherent whole with its scabbard. one can't carry any knife without a good, well-matched scabbard. siper is a creator of a scabbard for the kamil's knife. he meets the challenge. this is a scabbard which is very advanced. maybe for somebody who doesn't like such developed projects it has too many elements, but i know that it is a scabbard which allows to match a knife to a certain receiver. and this scabbard is like this. You can wear it in many ways. normally, on right and left side on the belt, but also horizontally at the back on the belt. additionally it is equipped with a pinned poc- ket for a small survival accessories and a lughole for fling. the entire thing is made on the highest level. thick leather is hand-sewn and during a few months usage nothing has dropped out and nothing has been spoilt. i have only myself lost a screw connecting its two elements. simple, i have not tighten it and it disappeared, but a scabbard still works well. a patent on fastening and unfastening a knife works excellent, a leather belt loop has been equipped with a round rubber which stretches the whole system. it works similarly to fastenings in the gun holsters. it's enough to pry a fastening open and a belt leaps itself out at the same time not impeding a knife to be taken out. a swank! a knife sits well in its scabbard and there is no option that it drops out. the idea of wearing a knife of this size in the back on the belt is rather "average", but the whole design is impressive and still works. i would rather not wear such a scythe. the entire set weights about 560 g so quite much as for a knife with its scabbard. here we come near to a light axe and a few words… to summarise firstly: for whom is this knife? it's a huge scythe which resembles to me bowie style knives. not with a design, but with an idea. one knife for all purposes: to chop, to cut, to lever. if i had looked for one knife for an expedition with a rifle i would probable use such a con- struct – perhaps. the design is very good, and to make it perfect it need s just to be scaled, and reduced in terms of weight and dimen- sions. then it would be a perfect match for a set with an axe and a saw, and now – unfortunately, a weight above half a kilogram is a little bit too much as for a knife to the forest. however, i can't wri- te a bad word about technical parameters of steel. it is splendid to baton, chop, and it lies in the hand perfectly. it's easy to sharpen it with the diamond sharpener. and cuts how like crazy. i have used it in the kitchen on holiday for ten days since my wife hasn't ta- ken any other. and she has been disappointed only because of the weight of this block. but it has cut perfectly. so, tit for tat as usually in life. lower it by 100 g, balance a heel area of the knife blade or in the centre and it'll be an excellent utilty tool. although … there is always somebody who likes such knives. like the desert eagle pistol. somebody shots suing it, as well. this knife has the same potential.
