"The SelecTion" organization would not be possible without spon-
sors' support – this is still a non-profit event, where participant will
not pay any fee. Although this is not a sweets and candies event, it
must be remembered that those few days at the Drawsko FTA burn
through 3000 liters of water, 300 kg of meat, hundreds of bread loafs,
quads and all terrain vehicles (that cover a few hundred kilometers),
boats, tents, wetsuits and other equipment essential for an event
organization. With no external support organizational costs would
make challenge impossible.
only few (usually around 10) from over 100 competitors, will achieve
final day and graduation. So far, during 17 YeARS a few thousand
people took part in pre-selection, around one thousand and a half
made their way to "The Selection" proper at the FTA, while a little bit
more than one hundred graduated after completion. Many of them
participated a few times – they were binned during different phases
but eventually they attain their goal and get "the board" – a souvenir
gorget.
