The Army Aviation displayed two aircraft this year, an Orbiter UAV and Mi-24V gunship of the Inowrocław AFB. The former is a new addition,
purchased just several years ago, while the other is slowly fading away. This fading away might be expedited by the recent announcement of the
purchasing priority re-orientation by the National Defense Ministry – with an attack helicopter tender to be announced this year and first aircraft
to arrive by 2019. According to the release, 32 new generation helicopter gunships are to be sought, from suppliers in the US (Boeing or Bell),
Europe (AgustaWestland or Airbus Helicopters), perhaps even Asia (Turkish Aerospace Industries).
Besides the air element, each year the Air Fair also includes a demonstration of the Land Forces hardware. This year's highlight was the Leopard
2A4 MBT of the 10th ArMored cAvALry BriGAde. Other vehicles on display were the Pt-91 tWArdy, a pair of rosoMAk APcs,
hMMWv-based multirole vehicles and numerous trucks and lorries of the Bydgoszcz-based 1st Logistics Brigade.
An orbiter UAv of the Army Aviation is a reconnaissance or artillery-spotting aircraft.
