Future Forces 2014 took place in czech republic so the armáda
České republiky (aka acr, czech republica army) was also exhib-
iting its gear and weapons. exhibition was not huge but some of
the vehicles, robots, command and control systems and individ-
ual gear was in place. as with every military exhibition – not all
soldiers are equipped equally with newest stuff, there are 5,56
mm cz 805 bren assault rifles issued but some units still are
sporting the older 7,62 mm samopal sa vz.58 rifles similar in
outside design but with completely different internals from the
kalashnikov ak which they are commonly mistaken with.
1, 2 - basic gear of czech soldier: kevlar helmet, klara night
vision goggles, communication system, weapon or vest mounted
video camera, 5,56 mm cz 805 bren a1 assault rifle with under-
barrel 40 mm cz 805 g1 grenade launcher.
3, 4 - voP cz taros 6x6 Furbo the new concept of ugv (unmanned
ground vehicle) in reconnaissance variant with observation
payload. Furbo is capable to carry two additional drones –
aerial recce quadrocopter and 4x4 wheeled drone for scouting
the restricted spaces. Furbo might be also fitted with remote
controlled weapons stations with machine gun.
5 - the inside of 7m1P mobile command post build on land rover
110tds sw 4x4 chassis. Four radio stations and digital terminal
are basic configuration.
6 - kim 10 communication and information module – the part
of battalion hQ.
7, 8 - czech army mi-171sh helicopter armed with famous
7,62mm m-134d minigun electrically driven six-barreled
machine gun.
