forces in Iraq. Italy has B1 Centauro, which was deployed during IFOR stabilization mission in the Balkans. Japan is planning to introduce MCV vehicle for JSDF in 2016. "The Grandpa" of thi family is, with no doubt, ROOIK AT, developed in South Africa over 30 years ago. All of those heavily armed – an 105 mm cannon (there is lighter variant of ROOIK AT with 76 mm cannon). Some of them, like M1128 Stryker or B1 Centauro were build over the basic APC hull as a platform. Similar idea born in Poland – the WOLF FSV based on ROSOMAK APC hull with Cockerill CT-CV 105HP turret by CMI Defence, armed with 105 mm high-pressure cannon with autoloader system. The pressure during each shoot reach 120% of pressure in classic 105 mm cannon. The autofrettage technology barrel has 51 caliber length (L51, 5546mm) and has single baffle muzzle break that decrease peak recoil force, which is less than 150kN. WOLF FSV is designed to provide fire support for other units and to independently engage all surface and air targets. It will be a perfectly match for units equipped with ROSOMAK APC armed with 30 mm cannon and ATGM SPIKE carriers or in basic version. To simplify, WOLF FSV it is a basic version of ROSOMAK APC fitted with CT-CV 105HP turret. The carrier (sometimes called chassis, but from technical point of view it is a common mistake) is in fact a basic version of ROSOMAK APC - the only modification is reinforced hull ceiling in the turret ring area. There are no other differences in the construction, because even hole diameter in the ceiling allowed to mount Cockerill CT-CV turret without any modifications. CT-CV is a two-man crew turret, which in basic version has 4700 kg weight and it will provide the crew (commander and gunner) STANAG 4569 Level I protection which might be extended www.fragoutmag.com
