REPORT The second phase has been organi- zed aT The police Training cenTer (pTc) in legionowo near warsaw on 1sT To 5Th december 2014. members of The above menTioned law enfor- cemenT services were Trained and menTored by former grom special mission UniT operaTors. General focus of this phase of THE POWER OF SYNERGY was CQB – Close Quarter Battle. Classes took place at two training loca- tions – tactical corridor, where "dry fire" or marking ammunition training was conducted and at the cutting edge, advanced indoor shooting range complex. The main purpose of "dry training" was to refresh skills of move- ment inside buildings and room clearing tactics. Here everything was calm, in "slow motion" tempo which allowed instructors to catch and correct the mistakes while trainees were able to familiarize – at least for few of them – with the new techniques. It has to be remembered that Border Guard mission is rather field activity than room clearing. However, like the officers admitted from time to time they have a chance to take actions in urban area so the training program is not totally useless for them. For ISA and Police officers engagement in buildings is a bread and butter, so during the exercise they have just refreshed their skills and benefit from knowledge and experience of former GROM opera- tors, simultaneously compare it with own capabilities. The core of course was training at the PTC indoor live shooting range, which was divided in two parts. The first one was shooting at "the cinema" – the video shooting range - trainee is shooting at the the big screen where targets are displayed. It may be rela- tively easy shooting which could be compare with simple "paper pitting" but then targets might be still and the instructor is chan- ging its shape, size, quantity and changing them with no-shoot targets or time limits. Higher level is shooting at the moving targets. This scenario also includes factors modifications. Starting with size, shape and quantity finishing with movement speed. The most difficult but also the most interesting are "shooting to the movie" tasks. At the screen, scene played by the actors is displayed. Shooter's task is right reaction at the particular moment which means taking a shoot at the right time to the right person. The video system which was made in USA includes movie clips filmed in US but also fresh one filmed in Poland. Training was red-hot among participants of THE POWER OF SYNERGY. During the shooting test natural compe- tition appears – who will be faster, more accurate, more lethal. "Winter", instructor and former GROM operator introduced additional limitations like magazine changing during task or weapon switching from primary to secondary, working in pair, etc.
