Parka nocna.....
Desert
Night
Camouflage
Uniform
–
oversized
overgarment
set
consisting
of
parka
style
hooded
coat
and
trousers
in
characteristic
dark
green
and
light
green
checkered
pattern.
It
was
designed
to
avoid
detection
in
first
generation
of
Soviet
night
vision
devices
but
due
the
lack
of
effectiveness
and
huge
progress
in
night
vision
development
the
idea
of
desert
night
camouflage
was
quickly
abandoned.
The
parka
might
be
fitted
with
additional
insulation
liner
with
slits
on
the
sides
which
allow
to
access
the
pockets
of
BDU
(the
parka
has
only
pass-thru
pockets).
Parka
was
very
popular
but
as
a
piece
of
warm
clothing
for
cold
desert
nights
not
because
its
camouflage
features.
Pants
were
not
in
common
use.
The
Holy
Grail
for
collectors
are
the
boonie
hats
in
this
pattern
–
a
very
limited
run
was
made.
