The
evolution
of
Boots,
Hot
Weather,
Type
II
desert
combat
boots
which
were
introduced
for
the
first
time
in
late
1980's.
Basically,
were
designed
after
the
Jungle
Boots
issued
to
all
the
soldiers
deployed
to
Saudi
Arabia.
In
the
first
stage
of
operation,
the
desert
boots
were
really
scarce
piece
of
equipment
in
combat
units.
Left:
Very
early
variant
of
desert
combat
boots
with
dark
sole
and
leather
ankle
protector.
Center:
Another
model
with
dark
sole,
nylon
webbing
ankle
protector,
please
notice
lack
of
seal
in
to
of
the

preventing
against
the
sand
getting
inside
the
boot.
Right:
Final
variant
of
desert
combat
boots,
which
remained
in
service
up
to
2000's.
There
were
some
minor
details
changed
and
used
materials
were
improved.
The
light
tan
sole
is
definitely
more
soft
than
dark
one.
None
of
desert
boots
had
an
anti-puncture
steel
shank
inside
the
sole.
