As a part of realized tender the Inspectorate
of Armament will procure 48 cargo utility
helicopters for the Polish Army, 10 CSAR
helicopters for the 7th Special Operations
Squadron as a support for the Special Forces
plus another six CSAR and six ASW helicopters
for the Naval Air Brigade.

helicopters are classified. That is why we
must guess most of the requirements or
describe them on the basis of the non-official
information. There were little information
released about submitted variants – we
only know that AgustaWestland and Airbus
Helicopters proposed to all versions the same
type of the helicopter (AW149 and EC725
Caracal), and Sikorsky submitted S-70i Black
Hawk International (for cargo/utility variant and
CSAR) plus S-70B Seahawk (ASW helitopcter).
What is important, that is just an American
manufacturer who is the most experienced in
production of the required varieties – it has
realized and still realizes a great deal of orders
connected with the S-70/S-70B program to the
benefit of the Department of Defense and export
users. Besides AW149, all those helicopters for
many years were used operationally, as were
tested in real combat conditions – in Africa,
Afghanistan, Europe and other parts of the
world.
Information which is fully confirmed: each of
the 48 utility helicopters will be armed with
two 7.62 mm multi-barrel machine guns, Anti-
Submarine Warfare variants should be able to
operate from the boards of the vessels (what
