aviation with the Military Aviation Company in Łódź and Heli Invest Ltd., which has represented it on the domestic market for many years. As a part of realized tender the Inspectorate of Armament will procure 48 cargo utility helicopters for the Polish Army, 10 CSAR helicopters for the 7th Special Operations Squadron as a support for the Special Forces plus another six CSAR and six ASW helicopters for the Naval Air Brigade. Unfortunately requirements related to helicopters are classified. That is why we must guess most of the requirements or describe them on the basis of the non-official information. There were little information released about submitted variants – we only know that AgustaWestland and Airbus Helicopters proposed to all versions the same type of the helicopter (AW149 and EC725 Caracal), and Sikorsky submitted S-70i Black Hawk International (for cargo/utility variant and CSAR) plus S-70B Seahawk (ASW helitopcter). What is important, that is just an American manufacturer who is the most experienced in production of the required varieties – it has realized and still realizes a great deal of orders connected with the S-70/S-70B program to the benefit of the Department of Defense and export users. Besides AW149, all those helicopters for many years were used operationally, as were tested in real combat conditions – in Africa, Afghanistan, Europe and other parts of the world.
