Iron6
What do artificial hearts and SCAR parts have in
common? Andrew Armistead. Andrew cut his
machining teeth by working on precision parts for the
first commercial artificial heart and other biomedical
bits. Later he would design and build parts for
racecars, eventually founding his own business for
the same in 2010, Power-Technik. All of this is to say
that Andrew knows a thing or two about designing
and manufacturing to rigorous standards without
sacrificing quality or durability—no matter how hard
you run your gun, it's not going through half the hell
of a racecar engine. The new weapons components
series is entitled Iron6 by Power-Technik.

Straight out of the box I knew I wasn't dealing with
an amateur effort. The i6MK4R is first machined out of
billet 7075 and then Mil-Spec type III hard anodized.
Sleek and stylized after OEM components, the i6MK4R
has a simple and impressive aesthetic. In addition to
the standard AR stock interface at the rear (including
ample space for an endplate) there are limited-travel
QD sockets on either side of the unit. The Iron6 logo
is tastefully engraved on the right side and contact
information can clearly be seen on the gun-side of the
adapter.
Any AR stock and more can be used with this unit,
including full fixed stocks if desired (which our friends
currently stuck behind the lines in ban states will dou-
bly appreciate.) If there's a way to attach to an AR, you
can put it on your SCAR. When mounted, the stocks
look like they were made for the SCAR; unlike many
other shove-a-stock-from-one-gun-to-another adapt-
ers the look is seamless and anything but clumsy or
fugly.
