The tasks of 15th battalion were aimed at verifyng the com-
manders and soldiers in combat operations. The dynamic
operations and a varied tactical situation required from
the commanders to make their decision quickly in order
to achieve the intended goals. The companies of battalion
were verified positively in operation as a rally unit and addi-
tionally the soldiers fought with the enemy in the wooded
and urban area, while using standard equipment and the
simulation devices. "Nowadays a wooded and urban area is
a fundamental battle environment. We must be able to op-
erate in both them and the "Gep@rd-15" prepare us to this"
– summed up 2LT Krzysztof Czaplicki from the 10th company.
One of the episodes during the exercises was operating in
the chemical contamination area. A commander of element
decided to withdraw a platoon from that area and direct it
to the decontamination point where were soldiers, equip-
ment and vehicles were decontaminated.
In the cooperation with 56th Air Transport Base and 25th Air
Cavalry, soldiers of the tactical battle group operated also as
a helicopter-borne assault force while having a task to take
control over the building.
