An additional element of the helmet equipment are three camouflage covers supplied in the kit – woodland, desert and snow. They have a rather original construction due to the construction of the helmet. The cover is attached to the helmet with hook and loop webbing placed inside the shell. It consists of the four sections of the hooks – two side, front (the longest one) and rear (the same length as the side ones). They cooperate with the corresponding sections of the loop tape on the cover. Taking into account the requirements of the ordering party the cover is the designed for parachute jumping so during the jump flaps are covering the rails and shround. After landing a user can unveil them easily without a necessity to take off the entire cover. Additionally, on the cover there are stitched straps of webbing which create the loops for assembling a camouflage and two pieces of the soft Velcro tape to attach, e.g. IR markings. The helmet is manufactured with three sizes of the shell: 1, 2, 3 – a mass of the helmet in size 2 is about 1760 g. IN USE Unfortunately, we were not able to jump with this helmet, but the first opinions about such usage of the HA-03 should surface soon – there are scheduled parachute jumps in the 16th battalion. After them it will be known how the users the preliminary assumes a helmet in terms of the practical use, while using it to that what had been expected from the "nut". When used on the ground, the helmet feels comfortable. The factory pads do not stand the ground the branded ones, fit well to the head and absorb moisture. There could be more hook and loop attachment points inside the helmet which would allow for better adjustment of placing the pads. A helmet suspension is comfortable – well, it is still Team Wendy but modified. The application of the "fuse" changes the straps arrangement but using the method of trails and errors user may easily achieve such adjusting of the liner that it is eliminated to the great extent. Thanks to a large range of adjustment one can arrange everything so that a helmet is maintained in the stabile manner on the head (it emphasise once again - we did not parachute in this helmet), but the entire stuff is comfortable. A level of comfort is slightly lower than in the original CFR, but still much better than in stand- ard issue helmets. Also we managed to accidentally unbuck- le the safety buckle during weapon transitions – that could be prevented with duct tape. HEAD PROTECTION
