To sum up, the Salomon FORCES is a new, interesting offer on the tactical footwear market – the existing reputation and popularity of the trail and trekking shoes allows to foresee that the tactical boots will be soon worn also by a great deal of users. The market will verify – so do we as the FRAG OUT! Magazine Crew will also carry out tests and will provide you AAR soon. The last model from the SALOMON FORCES series are boots which, at the first glance, have nothing in common with anything what is tactical. The TOUNDRA MID WP rather recall the winter boots for children or the Intuits mukluks. In fact, a similarity is not accidental since it is a model designed especially with extreme cold weather artic conditions in mind – SALOMON declares that they ensure a thermal comfort to the user's feet even up to –40°C. The TOUNDRA MID WIP reach highly above the ankle and with not entirely "serious" look their inner part hides the whole secret. The whole internal part of boots upper is padded with a synthetic fur and lined with CLIMASHIELD Waterproof membrane. Additionally, for better thermal comfort, the Aspen Aerogels insulation developed especially for the NASA and the suits for the spaceflights was applied. This gel thanks to its nanostructure enables to catch up to 90% air molecules what allows to warm them and constitute a barrier against cold. The Aerogels elements are placed in the front part of the boot where the heat losses are usually the largest. The boots were designed on the Winter Contagrip sole, which was made from the special rubber compound mix, dedicated to use in the low temperatures, functioning better on the snow and ice. FOOTWEAR
