and the maritime Ship Repair Gryfia), and also the rather exotic (at the first glance) consortium Damen Shipyards Gdynia SA together with the Naval Shipyard S.A. (in liquidation bankruptcy). The presence of the Spanish shipyard is for sure the greatest surprise (known from building the tugboats and the sea fishing vessels) and a consortium of two potential competitors – the Damen and the Naval Shipyard S.A. The second situation is easily to interpret – the division of the Dutch potentate in Gdynia is involved in the production of other type, and joining an offer with the Naval Shipyard S.A. allows for a potential compliance with the deadlines and meeting the political requirements of building in the country (now a majority of the tug vessels manufactured by the Damen Global Group is manufactured in Netherlands and Vietnam). An order draft of the new tugboats was begun in 2013. Then it was announced an invitation to the technical dialogue in which participated the Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. from Gdańsk, the Naval Shipyard S.A. in Gdynia, the Damen Shipyards Group which has its shipyard division in Gdynia, OBR CTM SA from Gdyni, Techno Marine from Malbork and the Shiprepair Yard Nauta S.A. from Gdynia. The initial published technical specifications assume that the new vessels will have a total tonnage up to 350 tons, an operational autonomy up to two weeks, a possibility to transport 12 persons (or 50 on the open deck), unlimited seaworthiness, speed up to 12 knots, a possibility to carry a load with a total mass of 25 tons, a towed mass of 250kN and a possibility to tow from the stern and bow.
