M37 Wool Field Shirt – the standard issue shirt of infantry
in the mustard color. Pictured Is modified variant with the
gas flap, pieces of fabric sewn inside the cuffs and closure.
Flap was designed to protect against penetration of chemical
gases.
Wool sweater was perfect for layering
against cold. It was worn over the shirt and
commonly was used for sleeping. Its design
and shape remained almost unchanged
up to the late 1990's.
