The MSBR-R rifle is a firearm intended for honour guard units of the Polish Army. It was developed with a military rifle as a base. It is fitted with a long barrel (508 mm), allowing only to fire with blanks, a reinforced stock with a metal recoil pad. It comes with 10 round magazine as standard, which is almost not visible when inserted into the magazine well. The MSBR-R has dedicated iron sights - fixed, not adjustable rear sight and a front sight with the characteristic shields, These sights fulfil, in fact, only a represent- ative function because their low placement disables their appli- cation for shooting of any kind. There is possibility to convert MSBS-R into the combat weapon – the barrel plus iron sights must be removed and replaced with proper ones. These will be included into standard kit. The MSBS-R rifle disassembles in the same way as in the combat version – only the permanent stock is disassembled in the other manner. In order to separate it from the firearm two small levers in the upper part of its stock mounts should be shifted. This oper- ation will result in pushing a locking push (in the combat version, after folding it is pushed simply by a finger) and will enable stock removal. This rifle will also have a version of bayonet, but it will be nickel coated. www.fragoutmag.com
