By courtesy of Polish distributor of Meproligh were able to
handle two models of the Israeli red dot sights: the Mepro
21M and the Mepro MOR. The latter was just recently
awarded the NRA's American Rifleman Golden Bullseye
Award for Optic of the Year. The Mepro 21 is called the
'dual illuminated' sight, while the Mepro
MOR is a 'tri-powered illumination' sight.
Both sights use fiber optics or tritium-cell
for reticule illumination (dual), while MOR
has also a battery-powered laser installed
(hence triple). That means that the Mepro
21M is a strictly optical sight, while MOR
– enters the electro-optic scene.
Mepro 21M
Mepro 21M is a maintenance-free, battery-
free optical sight for small arms – mostly
rifles and carbines. It was designed to be a
infantry soldier's sight: self-explaining and
sturdy enough to survive combat service.
It is mostly a close-distance, as well as
CQB sight. The 1x magnification and the
screen is large, 30-mm diameter. The
screen itself is covered with anti-scratch/anti-fog layer,
additionally protecting from accumulating any debris. To
eliminate flashes likely to occur in Middle-Eastern sun, a
honeycomb kill-flash filter can be screwed on.
