The case is aluminum, hard-anodized matt black to prevent from scratching and corrosion. Factory-assembled and sealed, the sight is virtually water- and dust-tight. The main light source in normal conditions is a fiber optics circuit, encompassing the front and screen from three sides. If there's not enough external light, the internal tritium-lit element takes over. The change is automatic, no action is needed from the user, and the takeover is practically seamless. As a matter of fact there's no 'take-over' as such: the tritium element lights the reticule all the time, but the sunlight channeled by the fiber optics is too bright for the feeble tritium light to be noticed. Mepro 21 is offered with a choice of five sighting reticules: bullseye (a circle-dot), triangle, cross and dots – either 4.3 or 5.5 MOA. The reticule is zeroed with flat-headed screws protected by the casing wells from accidental activation. One click moves reticule 1.7 MOA, with range of adjustment of ca. 145 MOA horizontal, and ca. 80 MOA vertically. The sight is NVG compatible. Mepro 21M is delivered with MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) rail grabber mount as a default.
