For the design of this chronograph, as in the case of the NAV SPC, Andrea Micheli was responsible again - this little cheerful man is a well-know and appre- ciated in Europe shooting and tactical medicine instructor and defense journalist. He is also an author of book about pistol shooting. DESIGN The external appearance of the Recon Team Leader resembles strongly its elder brother but it has a num- ber of new features and functions. Its heart consists in the Ronda 5130.D Chronograph Alarm, Special HH mechanism, applied also in the Atacama watch. A manufacturer declares that one full 395 (1.55 V ) battery is enough to run for 38 months. The "Werk" is closed in carbon fiber reinforced polymer casing with a diameter of 46 mm, closed from the back with a steel back plate attached with four screws. Its sap- phire glass is covered with an anti-reflective coating and embedded in the rotating fiber glass bezel with the marked directions of the world and azimuths (every 30 degs, omitting the places in which the directions of the world are marked). On the internal aluminum ring of the bezel are marked city names from the relative time zones with the small arrows. The casing is fully waterproof up of 200 m (660 ft) and resists 20 bar. On the dial there are the hour markers – the di- gits from 1 to 8 are white, from 9 to 12 are yellow. Between the hour markers and the external edge of the aluminum ring of the bezel there are also two more scales: the 24-hour scale for establishing time in other time zones and a scale of the walking speed. The hour and second hands are white, and a hand which looks at he first glance as a second hand, which is in reality a hand which counts se- conds in the "chrono" function, is painted in yellow. In the place where is marked 4. hour there is a date window. Apart from it, on the dial there is also a se- cond hand (grey background, yellow hand, black markers), alarm/reference time indicator (black bac- kground, yellow hand, red hour hand, white minute hand) and an indicator of hours and minutes in the "chrono" mode (black background with a grey minu- te band, white markers, white hands). A characteristic feature of the Team Leader, similar- ly as all Luminox brand watches, is an illuminating system which employs the tritium capsules, named the Luminox Light Technology®. The capsules, pla- ced on the hands and hour markers, ensure an illu- mination at night without any external light source to "charge" the tritium and a necessity to turn it on. The manufacturer warrants the tritium will run for 25 years. Depending on the model there is a different arrangement and color of tritium capsules – in the Team Leader the hands and hours between 1 and 8 are illuminated by the horizontally arranged blue capsules, and the hours from 9 to 12 – by the vertical capsules in yellow. A yellow capsule is also used to mark a 0 point on the movable bezel. The second hand in the Team Leader does not glow due to the applied mechanism. Moreover, there are illuminated two scales on the dial (24-hour scale and a scale of the walking speed tachymeter), but since they are EDC GEAR
