Standard field gear of paratrooper: adjustable M36 pistol belt, M36 suspenders, two steel M42 canteens in
M1910 canvas covers, parachuting rope and Carlisle first aid field dressing in M1942 cover. The suspenders has
sewn-on felt pads attached which improved carrying comfort under heavy load.
M3 knife with M6 sheath. The trench knife aka
paratrooper's best friend. Medics used the knifes
to cut the uniforms and the combat gear parts of
wounded soldiers.
Basic medical bag used by all United States medics during World
War Two. Medical supplies carried inside were following: different
types of bandages, gauze in multiple sizes, iodine cotton pads,
sulfanilamide powder, safety pins, syringe prefilled with morphine,
tourniquet, standard scissors or bandage cutting scissors, cravats and
Emergency Medical Tag Book.
Boots, Pachute Jumper commonly referred as "Corcorans" because of the Corcoran
brand, the shoemaking company who manufactured most of them. These boots were
specially designed for the paratroopers. They were over the ankle height so they could
protect the ankle joints of soldiers during landing.
