standard issue tool of every
infantry soldier.
Basic field gear of glider infantry soldier:
(Middle) M1928 infantry pack called Haversack. Small and not useful. M1910 entrenching tool
in cover is attached to the flap of haversack. Usually, mess kit with cover was attached to the
tool. (Below) olive shade M36 pistol belt with M1 Carbine 15 round magazine pouches, M1910
canteen with cover, M3 trench knife in M6 leather sheath. Under magazine pouch, the first aid
field dressing in the M1942 cover is attached.
