manufacturer, there are some slight differences but idea remains the same.. It is intended for using by a soldier and as a part of equipment of a bag of a paramedic and tactical rescuer – it is manufactured manually only in one size. As a personal dressing it fulfils its basic requirements, but in my opinion it is suitable mainly for a very quick, and at the same time, not too precise dressing a wound. It should be remembered that it is a tactical situation which generally determines a manner of operating – my experiences, even from the intensive trainings with soldiers, show that in most cases a dressing is not applied correctly. A design of an elastic band while making very frequently quickly wrappings causes its pulling off (constricting) to the middle part what results in a lack of a good stabilization of the pad on the wound. After applying a personal dressing on the wound we will notice its congestion only when blood appears on the bandage wrappings, that is after a full soaking of the pad. Instructions for use: A dressing should be placed directly on a wound. Perform wrappings while suppressing a pad to the wound. We can press tight while twisting a bandage band directly above the dressing. A finishing –applying a rubber string ended on the both sides with a closure bar with hooks attached to the dressing (in the older dressing can be met an ordinary safety pin). The Emergency Bandage (Israeli Bandage) In my opinion – one of the better universal compression bandages. While applying it on the wound sites, both lacerated and shot ones, it has never disappointed me always operating as I have expected. It is a very interesting solution, however it requires a significant involvement from a user when he/she learns to apply it. When I was engaged in the course training, I noticed, that trainees which did not improve their skills in applying a dressing on themselves or on a wounded friend further made the same mistakes.
