ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES versatility, relatively low cost and implementation time, and compatibility with other systems cannot be ignored. Considering the possibility of central purchase of the licence of the Enterprise class, BIS delivers a tool able to ensure a common simulation platform, available for different entities participating in different modernisation schemes. The Enterprise licence is a single, central purchase of large amounts of licences of the end-user class and the package of development licences for the needs of units subordinate to the Ministry of National Defence (MON). These licences are used to supply the simulation systems on the basis of VBS3, delivered by different economic entities. This significantly limits the costs, as it enables the administrator to negotiate the price, centralise the purchase and maintain a common line of the basic code. When the Enterprise licence is being purchased, the following are usually delivered: a strategic package of technical support (5, 10 or even 15 years of support), the language package, the library of vehicles, avatars and other objects characteristic of the equipment of the ordering party, packages of training courses and extensive, geo- specific digital maps (reflecting real testing grounds and training areas). Whenever the Enterprise licence is purchased, it is negotiated and adjusted to the needs of the end user. To date, the following countries have decided to purchase the Enterprise licence: Australia, New Zealand, USA, USMC, Sweden, Netherlands, France, Germany. The final effect of purchasing the Enterprise licence is saving costs and joining the world elite in simulation. It is a decision which has a real influence on the effectiveness of training of armies. Potential applications within the modernisation schemes of SZRP – selected applications.
