We are often bombed with news about a poor preparation of police officers and an insufficient level of training which is not ensured by the polce. A solution in such a situation is usually upgrading skills on one's own initiative what is very praiseworthy because it shows a level of motivation of a person who has a serious approach towards his/her job. In the case of police officers who work all around the world there is also another possibility – a membership in the International Police Association which is aimed, among others, at improving skills and knowledge among policemen. The third World Seminar for Young Police Officers which took place at the Police Training Centre in Legionowo, Poland between 19 and 26 July 2015 was an opportunity to exchange experiences and acquire new skills, as well as to have a new insight into the mentioned issues for representatives of police from 45 countries. The terms of participation included a short-term job seniority and work at the forefront. We were present during one of these seminar days which from our point of view was the most spectacular because on that day was conducted a training at the modern shooting range of the PTC. The training divided for thematic blocks under a slogan "Expect the Unexpected" was run by Paladin Tac company, which closely cooperates with the International Police Association. Its main objective was making participants aware of threads which are associated with a police service, as well as of dangers which exist beyond it. It was also performed a briefing and there were shown multimedia presentations which illustrated real situations, not always finishing with a happy end.
