A very prettily formed Kydex sheath in grey colour, equip- ped with a belt loop is added to the knife. The karambit se- ats in it very securely so there is no reason to worry that it will fall out even if we carry the knife with a handle down- wards. The entire knife presents very attractively. A pleasing line which includes soft curves in connection with a double-ed- ged blade give a really predatory effect, and used materials cause that the karambit by LKW Knives does not resemble anymore an agricultural pocket-knife from South Asia, but its improved über tactical versions, wreaking death on all servers of the global village CONFRONTATION The legends circulating around karambits – both these referring to the remote times and mysterious sources, and those which are still created in minds of the young fans of the virtual entertainment – deserve to be finally considered (however, I reserve myself a lack of an exaggerated serio- usness). I decided to confront them with reality just using a knife from Wołodia, setting a few peculiar tasks for it. The karambit has better cutting properties than an ordinary knife because it was patterned on the claws of a tiger. It cannot be assumed to what extend a karambit was inspired by an appearance of the claws of cats. However, even when assuming such an inspiration as a fact, this myth cannot be justified at all. The claws are not for cutting, and they have only sharp tips. They work perfectly while lacerating and keeping a prey. It is very similarly when it comes to a karambit which is rather an assault weapon. When compared with a knife with a straight blade it seems to provide much more shorter and shallower cuts due to its shape which precludes using the entire cutting surface. A test was conducted in the non-laboratory conditions while using pig legs and a pair of thick jeans trousers so you can repeat it at home. Myth #1: www.fragoutmag.com
