KNIVES - SURVIVAL Although these several simple tests show that the legends associated with karambits are mostly a marketing gibberish and doleful remains of the stories ingrained in the folklo- re, I do not assume them as something wrong. For an en- thusiast of the knives even a fact of having a legend can constitute an added value and provides a uniqueness of the concerned weapon. A fact that in the ruins of the old castle does not appear a Lady in White, does not diminish its at- tractiveness and do not add to it any housing qualities. Just alike as a karambit – even when it is deprived of the magical features it is still an interesting, exotic design, unnecessarily intended for a tillage. TO suM up bRIeFly My TIMe wITh The kNIFe FROM lkw kNIves: Is it a good karambit? Well, I guess so – it is neatly made, a solid piece of the claw with a thin thrust, sharp and even cutting edges, pleasing eyes and ensuring a big fun when twisting spinning wheels around a finger. Is it a good knife for an everyday usage? Not really, as every good (and the more poor) karambit. For cutting are better knives with a straight blade and even chipping always indicated as an activity during which a curved blade might work better, was not an evidence of a supe- riority of the karambit. Is it a good knife for a self-defence? No, it isn't. As any other. Is it a lethal knife? Yes, however not more than any other.
