www.fragoutmag.com one of the events is exhibition of Piotr (Peter) Andrews photography about GROM. it was inaugurated in Polish armed forces foreign operations veterans center in warsaw, Poland together with Sprzymierzeni z GROM (allies of grom) foundation on 28th July 2015. the exhibition was officially opened by current grom smU commander, COL Piotr Gąstał. aall photographs were taken by Piotr andrews, the reuters chief photographer in Poland, a friend of grom unit for 21 years. he took first photos of grom during the 1994 Uphold democracy operation were grom was officially deployed and unveiled to public for the first time. in next years, andrews was accompanying to the unit during their training and combat operations. Piotr andrews for many years was war correspondent in africa, israel, afghanistan, chechnya, hait, former Yugoslavia and former soviet Union. for photography taken during sarajevo massacre on 28th august 1995 he was nominated to the Pullitzer Prizes. except photos, the visitors can also see multiple memorabilia linked with grom smU and its operations such us different uniforms and kit, many coins and some fancy gadgets. the place, were the exhibition took place was not chosen by mistake. veteran's center serves as the medium in which veterans and the families of soldiers and military personnel killed during these activities will receive help and advice, in particular legal and psychological. it provides information to help the veterans and their families find local mental health services and information on trauma and Ptsd. the center will also actively cooperate with the com- petent authorities in the matter departmental and non-departmental and non-governmental organizations and associations. veteran's center will also work towards the integration of the veterans around together the projects and initiatives.
