For last few years Polish Armed Forces celebrate their Day with a military parade taking place in Warsaw, the
capitol city of Poland. Smilarily to previous years it has been attended by many spectators proving that such
events, unquestionably, have much interest among the society. 2015's parade was of much significance as
it has been received, for the first time, by the new highest commander of the Polish Armed Forces
- Mr. Andrzej Duda, the President of the Republic of Poland.
159 vehicles, 60 aircrafts and over 1600 troops took part in the parade and the logistics support consisted of
over 500 more. Therefore is seems very clear, that an almost hour long march has been a tough logistical
challenge. In the end all the equipment and troops had to be transported from their main locationareas
to Warsaw, and one has to bear in mind that some of the displayed vehicles weigh over 60 tons...
For the first time vehicles and aircrafts belonging to the US Armed Forces took part in the parade - Stryker
APCs along with AH-64 Apache and AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters. It has also been the first
time for the spectators to see special forces Oshkosh M-ATV MRAP-class armored vehicles, delivered from
the USA earlier this year.
As they say one picture is worth a thousand words, therefore we invite you to take a look at our gallery.
