the rear sight have 5 mm in diameter and a front sight of 2.5 mm width. the base of post allows horizontal adjustments. the height of the sights is fixed, adjusted for shooting at the distance of 35 m. the front sight and rear sight may be mounted in three positions on the body: towards 11, 12 or 1 o'clock. Usually, the central one is used (towards 12 o'clock), but in case of mounting an additional red dot sight, the other lines are being used: towards 1 o'clock for a right-handed shooter and towards 11 o'clock for a left-handed shooter. the Specter Dr allows for mounting a secondary, miniature sight (mRd – miniature Red dot) in the dedicated socket. optional accessories include a kill flash that eliminates light reflections on the front lens. the user may also attach a filter on the front lens that secures shooter's sight against being glared by laser. ELCAN Specter Dr 1-4x (Su-230/ pvS) perfectly works with night vision attachments. the sight is installed on mil-std-1913 (picatinny) rail. mounting is made on low-profile slide fixing clamps that allow quick assembly and disassemble of the device without tools (as in the case of a base with screw terminals). the base of specter dR is adjustable horizontally and vertically, while the sight may be titled to some extent, but the stabilizing springs will allow it to return to the starting position. the zeroing to the sight must be made in the 4x zoom mode. Rotation of the knob (with a screwdriver, edge of the identification mark, cartridge casing rim, a coin inserted into the bending of the knob) of the side correction in the front part of the sight clockwise moves the aiming dot to the left, counter-clockwise – to the right. Rotation by one step of the ratchet mechanism moves the aiming point by 0,5 moA (12.7 mm at 91.4 m). the raising knob is in the back part of the base. Rotation of knob by one step of the ratchet mechanism raises/ lowers the aiming dot by 0,5 moA (12.7 mm at 91.4 m). Rotating to the right is for raising and o the left for lowering the aiming dot.
