Signal is available in a standard, nylon case closed with a Velcro strap. It can be attached to a belt with a belt loop (vertically or horizontally). The case has spa- ce for blisters with bits and a small flashlight or a bit adapter. And now, the promised digression concerning the in- novativeness of tools used in Signal. It would seem that this is the one and only multitool that has a fire striker built in. It would mean that Signal is very unique and innovative, right? Tim Leatherman has probably thought the same, until I showed him the Polish old- gen wz.69 multifunction military knife designed in 1969 . His jaw slightly fell. Believe it or not, but he did not know about that knife, although he has a specta- cular collection of multitools from all over the world... Space Dog's review Signal is my new Leatherman tool – I got it several months ago and added to its older, larger brother – MUT. For the first time, the armed slightly resisted to be ope- ned, but I used some gun oil and everything works now as a charm. I really am grateful for the efforts of the producer to limit the weight of the tool (which, in case of EDC gear is quite important for me) – this has been achieved thanks to the slatted design of the covers of the tool that are coated with a DLC layer, which is known, for example, from the modern knives by Cold Steel made of XHP steel. As far as the price is concerned, the main blade made of popular and inexpensive 420HC steel may be slightly disappointing. I would rather prefer 154CM or S30V instead of it. Maybe the producer tho- ught that under field conditions it is easier to sharpen www.fragoutmag.com
