VIRTUS VIRTUS is complete soldier's individual equipment solution developed for the British land forces. It consists from more than fifty components including the Revision Cobra+ helmet developed by the Canadian company as a part of Batlskin helmets family. This aramid frag-rated helmet (according to the specs of British MoD they wanted only the protection against fragmentation) is a headborne platform for head pro- tection system with add-ons like visors or mandibles. The medium-sized helmet weights only 1050 grams. The internal suspension is based around four-point chinstraps and mesh liner instead of popular adjustable pads. The next importnant part of VIRTUS is load bearing equipment suite designed by Israeli company SOURCE, who is integrator of the system, based around modular and scalable body armor vest with single-side quick release system for use in emergency situ- ations. The body armor is connected with the Dynamic We- ight Distribution load distribution system. www.fragoutmag.com
