www.fragoutmag.com Peter's configuration allowed for a very good fulfillment of the inside part of the right hand, but during shooting with a weak hand its position changes. In the case of the symmetrical straps it makes no problem, but it is a matter of taste and personal preferences. A texture of the back strap seems to be subtle, but it is explicitly tactile (even though during a long shooting training is does not cause any discomfort) and ensures a good grip of both dry, and wet hand. It also works perfectly during shooting in the gloves. Without any doubts – a possibility to adjust sizes of the grip and its rough surface ensure a very good control of the weapon while shooting what in these terms ranks it at the top position among the similar constructions. The pistols configured in this manner (without any additional modifications) were and are used by us during shooting classes. We must admit that they work well, both during a static and dynamic shooting. It took us some time to evolve a suitable hand position on the pistol. While accustomed to the Glocks, we inserted a thumb of a left hand far forward, although, in contrast, a construction of the SFP9 frame does not ensure there enough space to lean on. After changing a grip so that a finger is lent on the disassembly lever, a hand position ensured a good control during a dynamic shooting. Undoubtedly, you should get used to a HK-specific magazine release lever, placed on the both sides of the trigger guard. At the first moment as the shooters who got accustomed to a button on the frame we instinctively tried to handle it by the thumb. If you have large palms and long fingers, it is possible, but rather less comfortable. The greater problems – due to the short fingers – had Peter who ws forced to grip the gun so that his thumb of the right hand reached a lever. After a few trainings these problems disappeared, and Mike changed a manner of detaching a magazine for, in his opinion, the most comfortable in this construction – he makes it using an index finger of the shooting hand.
