We can store there all the small stuff – the fire striker, matches, com- pass, notepads, pens, wires, batteries, power banks, ear- phones etc. Such a pocket is very helpful and allows you to quickly find small- er objects. What is more, each side has a glid- er strap for additional equipment. On the top of the backpack, there is a large pocket fastened with a zipper that constitutes 3/4 of the pocket's loop. It is large enough to easily contain e.g. a med kit, headgear, some snacks and there will still be some room for more stuff. The bottom of the backpack has two sewn-on straps with drawstrings that may be used for attaching additional items. The straps are long so they may be used for strapping a sleeping pads (many models fit), self-inflating mats, or a small tent. There is also an inner pocket fastened with a zip- per, in which a rain cover is rolled; it may be used to protect the backpack from soaking. It is nice that the man- ufacturer added this element to the set and that its "hiding place" does not bother, when you use the backpack. The X300 has two ways of access to main compart- ment: after mentioned front-loading and the top-load- ing through the upper zipper.
