Stalker Mk.III In uSe i have been using these pants for half a year - i have usually worn them at the shooting range. i want to make one thing clear – they should only be used as field pants, they will not do well as everyday pants or when used for EDc (unfortunately, those pockets though...) because of the knee pads. we may take them out, but, still, we will have two large holes on our knees. Due to the fact that they are rather panzer pants (thanks to the material and the cut) they should not be worn during summer, unless someone likes to sweat a lot. then, it is ok to wear them, of course. the poly-cotton fabric used is chunky and quite thick, which, with all the pockets, reinforcements and integral knee pads, results in a very limited circulation of air. then, you will sweat very quickly in higher temperatures. in my opinion, Stalker Mk.iii are perfectly useful from autumn to spring. when wet, the pants need time to get dry, for some elements it seems to take forever – this includes, in particular, the seat pockets, where there are even several layers of fabric. however, if we wear those pants in proper conditions, one may say that they are comfortable. the softly stuffed waist is great for usage with various types of belt, even the stiff ones. but you must remember to select the correct size of pants, since the side drawcords are not very efficient. although the manufacturer gave the possibility to greatly adjust the size of pants, but then you have a large overlap of material inside the pants, so i would treat this as some sort of an inside joke. the pants have a high waist, so people who like lowriders must find a different model. the integral knee pads are nice, but their design could have been better. what i have in mind here is that the tightening flaps are simply too small and may unfasten when you take a knee. in such a situation the knee pad starts a joyful journey around the knee and you must have some luck to support your it directly on the pad when you are kneeling. you may solve this problem by fastening both flaps with a thin adjustable shockcord. it helps, but, still, this element of the pants is underdeveloped. pockets – they are rather properly arranged and accessible. i think i only do not use the upper pockets with zips, because i have know idea what to put in them (it must be something flat, elastic, like... a condom?). other pockets are ok – the front inside pockets (the open ones) are good to carry a phone, a tool or a knife in them. the side cargo pockets can hold two ak or ar thirty rounders magazines. the rubber straps support them quite firmly (i do not like such solutions, but an enthusiast will be satisfied). the quickly accessible cargo pockets are a good solution – they are perfect for hiding e.g. gloves or a fleece hat. the main cargo pockets could have been tighter – one canadian-style button is slightly insufficient...
