As in each army, a way of a warrior begins with the lowest rank, which is a candidate in our team. He must prove his value in the battle and fulfil responsibilities to the benefit of his team in order to get a chance to be a rightful member of the elag. After finishing successfully trials of fight and taking an oath you become one of the brothers. However, it is only a further step in trying to get a Ring – a symbol of a membership in the Team Elders. It is a crowning of the long-term efforts and hundreds of hours spent on heavy trainings and trips. During the battles it translates into an effective operation of the whole formation, in which the Elders fulfil a role of today's sergeants and officers who coordinate operations of the entire group. For instance, it can be conveying orders of a governor in the battlefield and their effective execution during a battle. The Nordelag takes part in the largest world's clashes of the warriors, among which it is worthwhile mentioning the following events: on the Wolin island (Poland), in Rusborg (Russia), in Neustad Glewe (Germany) or Moesgard (Denmark). Five hundred or more people frequently take part in the battles. A fight is not staged, and fights are conducted using replicas of the weapons from the early Middle Ages. The swords, hatchets, spears are not sharp, but despite this fact they can be a dangerous tool in the hands of an inexperienced warrior and many times it ends with an intervention of the medical rescuers.
